We are very excited to welcome Tzipporah Horowitz as the new Head of School / Family Programming Coordinator. Tzipporah (Tzippy) has dedicated her professional life to creating unique Jewish experiences in a variety of settings, including USY and Camp Ramah. A current rabbinical student at the Academy for Jewish Religion in Yonkers, Tzippy has been developing JamJews, a community without walls that serves the Jewish live music community, with a focus on creating Jewish experiences at music festivals and concerts. Once the pandemic began, she transferred the entire operation online. She is now in the process of creating a recorded guitar series that delivers music education with a curriculum built around Jewish music.
Tzippy has arrived in Portsmouth! She has already begun to meet students, parents, and faculty via Zoom and looks forward to seeing you in-person at some fun outdoor programs this summer. Stay tuned for more details.
A few words from Tzippy about the coming school year:
We have so many bright things on the horizon for Hebrew School! We plan to expand experiential learning opportunities, with a particular focus on the outdoors and music. As we prepare for the coming in-person programming, I hope that you will be in touch to share your thoughts, questions, hopes, and concerns. And while many new and exciting things are on the horizon, first things first – keep an eye out for your registration invitation link and please REGISTER EARLY!
B’simcha,
Tzippy
