Erev Yom Kippur – Kol Nidre, Friday, October 11th
5:30 – 7:30 pm Sanctuary service and Zoom
As the sun sets, begin the solemn Day of Atonement in community, led by Rabba Kaya Stern-Kaufman and Cantor Julie Newman. Due to the solemn nature of this service, admittance will be limited at certain times. To ensure admittance, please arrive before the start of services.
Babysitting will be available in the preschool classrooms for children ages 2-5 and supervised quiet activities are available in a second classroom for children ages 6-10 from 5:00pm to 8pm or end of service. Pre-registration required.
On Kol Nidre, Reb Beni Summers (our rabbinic intern) will lead a teen program from 6:15-7:15 pm.
Sanctuary services and Zoom, 9:00 am–1 pm, 4:30–7:00 pm
Morning services for the Day of Atonement begin at 9:00 am, led by Rabba Kaya Stern-Kaufman and Cantor Julie Newman. We will take a break from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, when we resume services with Minchah, chanting from the story of Jonah, Neilah, and the final shofar blast. After Havdalah, stay to break fast with a catered kosher meal in the Social Hall.

Family Programming
10:15-11:30am Youth Service (Social Hall) geared towards children in grades 1-5, led by Ilene Kanoff. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children if bringing a child in First grade or younger.
Babysitting will be available in the preschool classroom for children aged 2-5 and supervised quiet activities are available in a second classroom for children ages 6-10 (pre-registration required) from 9:30am-1pm and then again from 4:30pm until the Break-Fast. Registration required or email the office with questions.
11am Preschool Story time (preschool classroom) for children ages 2-5, led by Dinah Berch. All children in the younger babysitting will be included. Parents are welcome to join. A small snack will be provided with parental permission.
On Yom Kippur, Reb Beni will lead an experiential program for teens from 10–11:30 am. During Neilah on Yom Kippur, he will lead a teen group in the library 5:45-6:30 pm.

Please join us for a catered kosher break-fast in our Social Hall. Advance registration is required with a suggested donation of $18.00 per person.
SFP is a neighbor helping neighbor organization for families with children experiencing homelessness. Please consider filling a bag (or two!) to help. Non-perishable items only may be left in the Court Street Foyer (Court Street) between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur – NOT the Sanctuary lobby off State Street.
